Starting Term 4

This week we had some coaches from the Burnside Cricket Club come and teach us some cricket skills. What fun!

We really enjoyed catching up with our big buddies after the holiday break. They helped us with a letter maze challenge and then we read our reading books to them.

Weaving - Our Term 3 Art focus

We have tried different types of weaving. We have discovered that it is hard!!! It takes a lot of patience and perseverance. We are very proud of our progress in our weaving skills.

Here are two of our projects. The other projects will be on display at the school 'Art Attack' which will be held early next term.

Straw weaving - making bracelets.

We are painting bear outlines and we are using a cardboard 'loom' to weave furry stomachs for them. They will be on display in the school Art Attack in Week 1 Term 4.

Weaving takes a lot of perseverance - some of us are weaving champions, some of us not so much!!!

Swimming - Week 1

Our first week of swimming has been very busy; catching a bus, getting changed and learning new skills in the pool! So much going on but we have been awesome self-managers.

It is not easy getting dry, dressed and walking to the bus stop in 15 minutes but we have done it. Many thanks to the lovely parent helpers who have helped us.

Winter Snow paintings

We are very proud of our paintings that were inspired by the snow on the trees outside our classroom. Here they are, ready to go up on the wall.

Goggles and Glasses

This week we have been practising all the letters that start with an open mouth c shape. They are...

c  o  a  d  g  q

Look at our goggles and glasses we made to celebrate the letter g and swimming week.

Music Making

We had a wonderful time playing music this week. We borrowed the glockenspiels from the orchestra to play and sing a favourite song. (Thanks Mrs Muschamp for letting us borrow them!) You can see some of the xylophones pictures we made on the tables beside us.
