The Kahoot Challenge

 We love to play Kahoot - a game where we compete in teams to answer questions.

This Kahoot is all about matching Milo's friends with the letter that their name starts with.

Matariki

 Rooms 14, 4 and 18 had a wonderful morning making Matariki crafts together. We had five different activities we could choose from and had fun rotating around and finding the things we wanted to do. A big thanks to our big buddies who helped us with all the tricky bits!

                             

                                       

Mr Lewis made 'Matariki Soup' othewise known as carrot soup. He says it helps us to see the Matariki stars. All but one of us had a taste... some of us liked it and some not so much. 

Week 8

 Wonderful Wai - a science investigation

We looked at the 3 states of water; liquid, solid and gas. We added salt to an ice ball to see how the look and feel of the ice changed. We even squirted coloured water on it and described what we could see.

V is for vase

We combined our fractions (folding in half and quarters) and cutting and colouring skills to make a vase full of flowers.

Winter has come...

 Week 7 brought the first of the heavy frosts - we went outside to 'crunch' on the grass and write in the frost on the tables. Brrrr!

Art - Collage

 Our art topic this term is collage. We made lions with collage manes. We are trying to make sure we cover all of the mane and leave no spaces.

Guitar Performance

 This week we made guitars and played along to a favourite waiata. Enjoy!

Jump Jam

 Every Friday morning Team Waka gets together for fun and fitness. We are learning the moves to 'Hippy From Mississippi' one of the Jump Jam exercise dances. 

It takes a lot of concentration and coordination to get all the moves in time to the music, but it is great fun and we are being active and healthy at the same time!
