Yippee!

At last the video is out. A Thief in Time the video is amazing. Here are a couple of photos to remind us of our time on the big stage at the Issaac Theatre Royal!

Week 8

We have had an awesome 2 weeks of swimming. Practising every day means we have learned lots. Here is a video of what we would do after 10 days of swimming and water safety.

On Friday we took the iPads outside for a pattern in nature hunt. We found patterns everywhere. Look closely for repeating patterns and symmetry!

Patterns

Our maths topic is patterning. We have looked at number patterns, people patterns (doing different actions) patterns with blocks and other equipment, and patterns in nature and art.

Patterns are everywhere. Some of us like making colouring patterns too!

Swimming: Week 1 Day 1

We love swimming, just a quick trip on the bus and then we are at the pool ready to learn to swim and keep safe in the water.

Firefighters and Friends!

We have been learning about fire safety. Some firefighters came to help us know what to do.

Harold the Giraffe visited Russley School in the Life Education van and brought along his teacher friend Keri. We had two turns in his van learning all about being good friends.

Making Music

This week we borrowed the glockenspiels from Mrs Muschamp.

First we learned to clap and play music patterns. Then we learned to play the first part of Baby Shark and Happy Birthday - it was Ned and Nikhil's birthdays this week.

Here are some very short sound tracks of our playing. We are not too bad for our very first try at playing this instrument!

Meet the Sneetches

The Sneetches learned a very valuable lesson about including everybody - what a pity they had to learn the hard way. We have made all kinds of star-belly sneetches.

We wrote stories about how Sylvester McMonkey McBean tricked the Sneetches into giving him money to put stars on and off the bellies.... until they realised that stars don't matter at all!
