Fractions, fractions, fractions

We have been learning about whole, half and quarter of shapes. 

We have noticed that our sandwiches are cut into these fractions too.

Lego Challenge Day

 We are working together, sharing creative ideas and rising to the challenges to complete the lego tasks.

Lego, lego everywhere!

Task 1: create a mosaic (on own) or a sculpture (on own or with a buddy)

Task 2: work with a buddy to make a car and see how far it can travel off the ramp

Task 3: work with a different buddy to make a marble run

Task 4: choose one of the lego sets and get creative - work on own or in a team

What an awesome day, great teamwork, great creations and plenty of trial and error!

Beebot Challenge

We made a plan for our Beebot challenge and some of us built our design with the big blocks.  Can we programme our robot to get through the big block track?

We used forward and backward, left and right turn commands to get our robots to the end of the track.

We had to input the commands into the beebot and then test the programme to see if we had made the robot go far enough and turn the right way. Sometimes we had to makes some changes to complete the challenge.
